Dear Blog; Day 94

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh I am home.  Sleep in my OWN bed was pretty close A-MAZ-ING.  I slept waaayyyyy in and took my time today.  I just needed to unwind and get my head wrapped around being back in AZ.

I made it everyone.  I made it through 13 days of vacation without going off my healthy living plan.  I did indulge in a bit more protein then I would have had I been in AZ but looking back what I accomplished is pretty darn great!

I checked in with my life coach today (she is on vacation this week with her hubby).  She gave me big kudos for my successful trip and we talked a bit about how I felt after it all compared to how I felt at the beginning.  And then we talked a bit about how she was going to stay on program while she was gone etc.

All in all I am very proud of myself.  So far on this journey that vacation has been the single hardest thing I have gone through.  It is amazing how our family and fimiliarity and environment and learned behaviors effect us, especially when we are choosing to go against everything we have ever learned or been taught.  I realized while being with my family where some of the behaviors I am trying to undo have come from.

I realized that  where I grew up you spend  ALOT of time indoors, becuase it rains ALOT.  Well what do you do indoors?  Play games for a little while, watch tv for a little while, talk for a little while, then what?  Read for a little while, play on the computer for a little while, then what?  Eat; thats what.  I learned how to snack, and graze and eat to fill time.  If we couldn't find something to do we ate; or we ate while doing something.  How do you train yourself to realize that you don't have to fill down time with food.  Just becuase you don't have anything to do you don't need to fill that time with eating or sleeping for that matter.  These are the big questions....

I give myself 2 big thumbs up and even a round of applause for the success of my vacation.  I appreciate my families support while I was with them, and all the continued support from everyone as I continue to progress on this healthy lifestyle journey.

Love Angela
