ohhh it is way to early for any human to be up. I feel like I just went to bed. BUT, it is garage sale day and I had a ton to do before the first garage saler arrived! It was still dark when I opened the garage and started pulling stuff out. So much stuff. It is amazing how many things you accumulate over your life. And it is just stuff....or is it? It is eye opening how hard it is to part with "stuff" we some how attach feelings and emotions to things like some how they can comfort us or keep us safe. I am to the point where I need to part with stuff. I need to lighten my load. Sluff off the old make room for the new. Sort of like a life cleansing. I hope it all goes to good homes who will love it just like I did.
The sale was pretty successful. There was a lot that we were able to get rid of so we no longer had to stare at it sitting in the garage. I was having a good moring....I had enough caffeine that I was buzzing to say the least. I was wheeling and dealing like a pro! Man it started to get so hot though. I thought I was going to melt right into the driveway. Hey its great for weight loss... just sweat it all off! It was so nice to go into the house where the air was on and cool off. But there was no rest for the wicked (aka me). I had to change my clothes collect all the empty boxes I had and head down to my movie friends house (she is moving). I love my friend dearly, but she is trying to save money. I totally get that, but I can't live without turning on the air at some point. It was 95 outside and all she had was a floor fan and the door open. I started melting as soon as I walked in the door. Hopefully when I loose more weight the heat won't get to me as much, but right now it is just miserable. As long as I didn't move in her house I was ok.
We headed out a little before 5 to go to the Diamondbacks game! It was allstar lawn gnome giveaway day! I had to have a brother for my last years gnome. In the car I was fine but getting out and walking the 2 blocks to the field was torture then once you are inside you would think since it was 95 out that the roof would be closed...ohhhh no wide stinkin open! I was not a happy camper. It would have been fine if there had been any sort of air flow; we were not that lucky. So there I sat, sticky, sweaty, dripping. Hey good news though, I got my gnome AND my butt actually fit in the seat...that is definitely a defining moment to say the least. My grocery shopping friend joined us so it was a party! The game started off slow but in about the 7th innning it got good and in the 8th inning there was a grand slam, by the dbacks of course. It all turned around from there and it ended up being pretty exciting. I am glad I went. Although it was long and uncomfortable.
On the way home I nearly fell asleep it had been such a long day. I was also way off on my food schedule. I am surprised I made it all the way back to my house without stopping at like ten different places. I was also way dehydrated and my body ached. Gosh I am getting old and I don't bounce back like I used to. Sad day when you realize that isn't it?!?!? I got home and made myself some lunch meat lettuce wraps and I took myself right on upstairs to bed. It was quite the day but I am glad it is over.
Love Angela
