Happy 4th of July Everyone! As you can see my image for today is centered around food. Yeah for food! I thought it was so clever making a cake look like a flag. And look at that nice thick layer of frosting on top can't you just picture swiping your finger through that ooey goooey goodness. Ok enough of that, I just really can't handle anymore talk about food.
I finished housesitting today and headed over to my grocery shopping friends house. I was't feeling so hot (stupid allergies) and she wasn't feelin so great either. We were kind of bums today. No fireworks, no parties, no bbq's (does it count we went to a bbq place for dinner?). We had a harry potter marathon instead which wasn't so much a marathon since we only got through 2 movies (or was it 3?). We then took a little walk outside and couldn't find anyone lighting off fireworks in her neighborhood so we called it a night. Pretty anti-climactic night if you ask me. But it was ok. We spent time together and went to bed early. I got a phone call from my dad whom I could barely hear over all the firework noise from his house asking me how my 4th was. He just laughed at me when I told him I was already in bed. It is funny how things are different depending on where you live!
It was still a great day. I wonder what tomorrow will bring?
